Declension
Notes
In Eleued, most of the vocabulary has the exact same declension, however, there are a handful of nouns that have a slightly different declension. These were formerly feminine nouns and are now vestigial. They are noted in all word lists.
Eleued has different declension based on vowel harmony, which depends on the very first vowel of the word. This is explained in more detail here.
Cases
Below are the list of cases, their endings, and their use:
- Nominative: -/ (or -a, in vestigial feminine nouns), the subject of a sentence
- Accusative: -h, direct object of a sentence
- Dative: -he/-ho (-ha in vestigial feminine nouns), the indirect object
- Genitive: -el/-ol, 'of, from'
- Allative: -ev/-ov, 'to, towards'
- Ablative: -es/-os, 'away, from'
- Vocative: -e/-a, 'O!'
Plurals
Plurals are formed by adding -(e/o)n. However, this affects the case before it, i.e. Genitive singular -el would become Genitive plural -len, or Allative singular -ov becomes plural -von.
